  High on a hillside between Coulagh Bay and Mishkish on the Kealincha River awaits Anam Cara, a residential retreat to nurture and provide sanctuary for you to do your best creative work. Workshops are led by award-winning writers!

June 9-16 • Short Fiction: So Much More Than It Seems...

"A chance to explore in depth the craft of short fiction in all its challenging guises."

August 4-11 • Speaking in Pictures: A Poetry Writing Workshop Concerning Visual Art
Leader:
Poet Susan Rich "Poetry and painting are sister arts according to the Greeks. It’s a natural collaboration to focus on ekphrastic poetry — poems inspired by visual images."

September 1-8 • Poetry in Motion (Pictures): Writing the Screenplay
Leader:
Screenwriter/poet Gary Miranda "Through reading and writing assignments, watching movie clips, and exercises in revision, this workshop will get you on your way to becoming a full-fledged screenwriter."
