"Story" is for writers of all levels of fictional and/or autobiographical stories of any length, and is designed to address individual concerns, goals and manuscripts in a small group setting (limit 10 participants). Daily morning classes and writing practices, and afternoon critique sessions and discussions will help you develop new ideas as well as review your current work from home. Walks with a local resident-hiker are optional. Private consultations with Donna are available after the course.
About Donna Hanelin Donna attended the College of Creative Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and the San Francisco Art Institute. She has developed and taught courses in creative writing, including poetry, fiction, autobiography and personal essay. She directs students toward a clear, detailed and compassionate evaluation of works-in-progress, with an emphasis on both self-knowledge and artistic form.
