Another outstanding conference in the works! Running from Friday morning workshops with Charlotte Cook through Sunday morning at the historic Renaissance Vinoy Resort, this weekend event features workshops, panels, and keynote addresses on various aspects of fiction set in the past, and presents authors, readers, industry professionals and other historical fiction enthusiasts with a unique opportunity to celebrate the genre.
2013: Our author guests of honor are Steve Berry, one of America's best-selling historical novelists; and Anne Perry, renowned author of historical fiction. Special workshops with Charlotte Cook. Speakers and panelists include more than 75 authors, editors, and agents.
Registration fees include entrance to all daytime panels and workshops on Saturday and Sunday, Friday night dinner (with Steve Berry as featured speaker), Friday Night Sex Scene Readings (with Diana Gabaldon as moderator), Saturday buffet lunch (with author CW Gortner as keynote), Saturday dinner (with Anne Perry as featured speaker), and Saturday and Sunday continental breakfasts. Saturday afternoon’s group book-signing features over 75 historical novelists.
The fees also include a pitch appointment with an agent or editor, if desired. A historical costume fashion show follows Saturday's dinner — all attendees are welcome to participate. Friday features two workshops at low prices by Charlotte Cook: The First 5 Pages in the a.m. and Pitching Your Query in the p.m.
