July 31-August 3, 2008 College of the Redwoods • Fort Bragg, California
Here on the rugged cliffs above the Pacific Ocean, we invite you to join professionals from the writing world for three days of stimulating instruction and fellowship. Since 1989, writers of all ages and genres have escaped to the Mendocino Coast campus of the College of the Redwoods to further their craft and replenish their spirits in a supportive and restorative atmosphere at an affordable price.
Whatever your genre, we encourage you to reach deeper and write about what matters. What wakes you up at night? What makes you laugh? What would you change if you could? Enter other realities and return with insight. Re-dream the world.
Join us on the Mendocino Coast at the cool edge of the continent. Cliffs, ocean and sky inspire creativity. When you’re too tired to write another word, the fog rolls in and rocks you to sleep.
The 2008 presenters include: Novelist James D. Houston, author/editor Michael Datcher, literary agent Jenoyne Adams, young adult author Jody Gehrman, poet and graphic novelist Daphne Gottlieb, poet Susan Wooldridge. fiction writer Marianne Villaneuva, editor Kate Gale, author/editor Suzanne Byerley.
7-9 morning workshops with same presenter each day; large forum discussions with editors, agents, & newly published authors; afternoon lecture sessions on craft.
