Mendocino Coast Writers Conference

6 morning workshops with same presenter each day, one juried, others open enrollment; large forum readings and discussions with editors, agents, & newly published authors; afternoon lecture sessions on craft.

Twenty-third Annual Mendocino Coast Writers Conference

July 26-28, 2012
College of the Redwoods • Fort Bragg, California

Mendocino Coast Writers Conference offers a place where writers find encouragement, expertise, and inspiration.

Located where summers are temperate and the seascape spectacular, this intimate conference emphasizes craft and community. Our faculty, all excellent writers who are also outstanding teachers, meet for three mornings with workshop participants. Robin Hemley will lead a juried master class on memoir. Other workshop leaders are David Corbett (novel), Steve Almond (short fiction), Victoria Zackheim (nonfiction), Kim Addonizio (poetry) and Elizabeth Rosner (emerging writers: fiction and nonfiction). The afternoon program includes faculty readings, panels and workshops with editors, publishers and agents, and craft lectures by morning faculty and YA novelists Jody Gehrman and Ginny Rorby.

The conference fee includes continental breakfast, lunch, and two evening meals.
