Program Description Saturday check-in. Sunday fish cookout & open mike social. M-F: 10am-1pm Intensive Poetry Workshop w/LD Cervantes (master class). 3-6pm guest lectures, panels, workshops, presentations. Some sunset events. Friday night: poetry beach pachanga. Saturday: declamacíon with guest poets, participants & locals (free to public).

Faculty Poets Lorna Dee Cervantes (Emplumada) & Tammy Gomez (TejanaTongue). Lorna is Director of Creative Writing at the Univ. of Colorado at Boulder & Founding Director of The Ed Dorn Institute for Poetics Research & Excellence in Literature. Guest presenters include Silviana Wood (MFA ASU), Roberta Orona-Cordova (Cal State Northridge), María Elena Gaitán, & Mexican writer Rafael Burgos Ríos.
Costs $200-$600 ($40-$300) with (without) lodging. $300 Master Class only. $100 poetry or short story workshop. Options above include all events & some meals. $40 poetry manuscript consultation w/LD Cervantes only & all public events; $50 for prose. Some scholarships may be available. Spouses & children welcome for minimal fee.
