About Us

Vol. 12, 2: Spring 2024, Issue 44
In our forty-fourth edition of Catamaran Literary Reader, we’re celebrating spring with a variety of new, experimental voices in writing and poetry, along with the new work of previous contributors to the magazine. Did you know you can view our online features for the new issue? We feature one sample piece from nonfiction, fiction, and poetry, as well as our current interview and translation. Click the “learn more” button to view. This issue’s online features are Sage Marshall’s memoir, “Powder Daze,” which draws us into Colorado ski culture with a unique, modern twist of self-introspection, addiction, nature, and sport. The poem “Spring Peeper Gospel” by Frank Paino places us in the passing moments of time and nature, leaving us behind in a cycle of rebirth and death. And “Gracie” by Bette Lynch Husted delves into observing nature and forming a bond with an inquisitive dog. As we endure another long, cold, rainy season this spring, it will be nice to have Catamaran to cozy up with and bring us into the natural world of our beloved West Coast, enjoying the timeless pleasure of the unique creativity Catamaran offers.
