Seminars: Each member of the Conference faculty leads a daily seminar, which usually includes a short lecture, discussion, and optional writing exercises. You are welcome to attend seminars in several genres. Special topics include short story, novel, poetry, nonfiction, memoir, journalism, food and travel, science and medicine. Preparing work for publication.
Manuscript Consultations: A faculty member or teaching fellow will meet with you privately to discuss your work.
Publishing: You will have the chance to meet with editors and agents interested in meeting new writers. Previous participants have gone on to publishing success, and several have won major awards including the Pulitzer Prize. Wesleyan participants have been featured in the annual anthology, Best New American Voices.
