<title>Manhattanville Summer Writers  Week in Purchase, New York</title>

 h3  center Manhattanville College Hosts Annual Writers  Week   font color  FF0000 June 25-June 29, 2012  font   center   h3 Writers from across the country gather at Manhattanville College each summer for the school s annual week-long writing conference.     During Writers  Week, participants spend the mornings in workshops with esteemed authors, focusing on fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, children s young adult literature, and speculative fiction. Award-winning faculty for Summer Writers  Week  Justin Torres (Fiction)  Kao Kalia Yang (non-fiction)  Rita Williams-Garcia (Children s Young Adult)  Mark Nowak (Poetry)  Nnedi Okorafor (Speculative Fiction). Special Guests include Philip Gourevitch (The New Yorker), Joby Warrick (The Washington Post), Ken Chen (Yale Series of Younger Poets Prize), Sonya Chung, and others.      Overnight accommodations on Manhattanville s beautiful 100-acre campus are available. The program can be taken for credit toward a master s degree or on a non-credit basis. Applicants are asked to submit a 10-page writing sample along with an application and payment by June 1.
