Offered February 27 to March 1, 2020, Writers Studio at UCLA Extension is an intensive four days of instruction and writing. Participants choose one of 12 workshops in which they work closely with a professional writer in classes limited to no more than 15.

The Writers' Program is a comprehensive university-related writing program open to the public and offering 400 annual writing courses and writing-related services. Our programs provide the tools writers need to tell their stories and discover or develop their full creative potential. We offer courses in fiction, memoir, personal essay, poetry, publishing, writing for the youth market, feature film writing and television writing. Most courses are available online as well as in a traditional classroom setting, where evening, daytime, and weekend offerings make learning convenient for most people’s schedules. Additionally, we offer a 4-day Writers Studio, a writing retreat in Lake Arrowhead, manuscript and script consultations, one-on-one mentorships, scholarships, competitions, master classes, and more.
