Intensive poetry conferences held in Colrain, Massachusetts and Greenfield, Massachusetts, include a manuscript preparation workshop, in-depth meetings with press editors, evening poetry readings, an editorial panel Q&A, group critique of selected poems, and a post-conference strategy session.
Conference founder and director is award-winning poet, Joan Houlihan, also founder and director of the Concord Poetry Center, in Concord, Massachusetts. The Concord Poetry Center offers several programs a year, including benefit readings (Franz Wright, Frank Bidart, Robert Pinsky, Donald Hall), publication panels, workshops, a community reading series, retreats, conferences, and seminars.
