2 workshops—each hosting 20 students—who read, write, and live with these extraordinary teachers

The Wet Mountain Valley Writers’ Workshops are six-day writing intensives with nationally recognized writers who are also exceptional teachers. Attendees work closely with either Abigail Thomas or Bar Scott in August or Susan Richards or Susan Tweit in October. Daily morning workshops focus on new writing as well as pages submitted to the group in advance. Afternoons include break-out lectures, writing time, student and faculty readings, and one-on-one sessions. Students experience close community with their teachers throughout the week, as well as with a small group of other writers in the comfort of a living room setting.

Workshop Features
• Six-day intensive with two nationally recognized writers/teachers
• 10 students maximum in each of two classes
• One-on-one scheduled time for each student with their teacher
• Opportunities for students to read their work to the group and to the public
• Thursday night reading/performance
• Hosted by Coyote Moon Lodge, 80 miles southwest of Colorado Springs with spectacular views of the Wet and Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
• Delicious catered meals enjoyed in a communal setting
• Scholarships available as well as extended-stay retreats
